Springfield Mayor Ken McClure has recently introduced a new podcast titled “SGF Local Matters” to the public. The podcast aims to showcase the area’s captivating individuals and provide insights into the City’s ongoing projects and initiatives. Available on Apple and Spotify platforms, the podcast also offers a video version on YouTube and at CityView.springfieldmo.gov.

Mayor McClure's co-host on the podcast is Cora Scott, the Director of Public Information & Civic Engagement for the City of Springfield. Together, McClure and Scott are enthusiastic about utilizing this innovative platform to educate Springfield residents about the community and specifically, the local government.

Expressing his enthusiasm for the podcast, Mayor McClure stated, "I am excited about having meaningful and interesting conversations with some of our community’s most interesting people, and in the ability to have an in-depth conversation about the many projects the City has underway." He further emphasized the podcast's potential to encourage listeners to become more involved in the community, whether by joining a board or commission or actively participating in improving the city.
